wool + love = felt
- wool and other natural fibers want to stick together
- when they are next to each other, warm and moving, they begin to stick to one another
- this creates a tangled mass of fibers which clutch one another forming a fabric
- a barbed needle can be used to agitate the fibers in a very precise way
- I make shapes using a barbed needle and wool fibers to make pieces like the ones you see here, and much more...
things i might make next
- happy apple cozy: NOT the same as a fuit cozy! the happy apple is a toy which is made of red plastic and has a bell inside. i love the happy apple and i want to hear it ring, but inevetably it falls on the floor with such a horrific noise it always scares the hell out of me. with a cozy it would be just right...
- supply quivers, which hold things like knitting needles, scissors, pens...and it latches on so you can grab that thing you need quick
- a super head cover with embedded perscription sunglasses for a guy I know
- fruit cozies, as in a cozy protect your apple while it is in your backpack
